Customize a Free Printable Chore Chart, Then Print It
A blank printable leaves the layout work to you. Chore Chart Builder lets you enter the people, chores, and days first, then turns those assignments into a chart you can print or save as a PDF.
Choose the weekly family chart for one landscape grid with everyone together, or one chart per child for separate portrait pages. The preview also lets you decide whether to use minimal ink, show icons, or include points. The tool does not add a watermark or require an account.
Before printing, check the preview for long task names, the number of children, and the paper settings in your browser's print dialog. The browser and printer — not the builder alone — control margins, scaling, paper size, and the final appearance.

A repeatable print check
- Build or reopen the chart.
- Choose the family or per-child layout.
- Decide whether points and icons belong on the printed copy.
- Turn on minimal ink when color is not useful.
- Preview the result before printing or saving as a PDF.
- Keep the PDF or printed copy in the place where the family will actually use it.

The printed copy is a snapshot
The printable result reflects the assignments at the moment you print it. If the routine changes, edit the chart and create a new copy — a PDF or printed page is not automatically synchronized with the chart saved in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it really free to print, with no watermark?
- Yes. You can print or save your chart as a PDF at full quality with nothing stamped across it. There's no watermark, no locked "pro" version, and no fee for the print step — everything the tool does is free.
- Do I have to download a template or install anything?
- No. You customize the chart right in your browser, then print or save it directly from there. There's no template file to download first and no software to install.
- How is this different from a printable I'd download and fill in by hand?
- A downloaded template is blank — you'd write in every name and chore yourself. Here you enter your kids and pick their chores on screen first, so the version you print already has all of it filled in and formatted.
- Can I save it as a PDF instead of printing right away?
- Yes. Choosing save-as-PDF instead of print gives you a file you can keep, email, or print later from any device. It's the same free output either way, with no account needed.
- Will it fit neatly on a standard sheet of paper?
- The chart is laid out to print cleanly on a standard page. You'll see a preview before you print, and your browser's print dialog controls the final paper size, margins, and scaling — so check those settings, especially with long chore names or several kids.
- What if our chores change next week?
- Just reopen the tool, adjust the chores or days, and print a fresh copy. You can update and reprint as often as your routine shifts — there's no limit and no cost.
